Christo at NY Fashion Week This year, the Christo artistic team worked their magic on New York Fashion week once again. Christo created a unique hairstyle that perfectly balanced femininity and elegance while his team executed his hair designs flawlessly.

June 11 2009 Lisa Mateo is not the straight-haired girl you think she is. Her natural roots are actually curly and to maintain those curls takes a little work especially during the summer.

She visits Christo's Fifth Avenue Salon for some tips on how to show off her ringlets. On his website, Christo states, "Cutting curly hair is an art. You have to make sure that you work individually according to the texture of the hair and the structure of the face, since curls have a mind of their own. Everyone should be able to achieve the hairstyle they feel their best in. This is why my goal is to maximize the potential of each individual's best possible hair." June 8 2009 Lisa visits Christo Fifth Avenue Salon as they makeover a women from Iris House.

For the third year in a row, it is Christo's pleasure to host Spa Day, an event to benefit Iris House-A Center for Women Living With HIV/AIDS. It will take place here at the salon today, Monday June 8 from 4pm to 8pm. Proceeds will support an array of programs and services for women with AIDS and their family members, as well as prevention education throughout the community. With more individuals and families than ever before turning to Iris House for food, housing, counseling and connections to health care, your participation can make a significant difference.

June23rd, 2008 Chirsto Fifth Avenue hosted a fundraising event to Benefit Iris House. The first ever Curly Hair Awards^TM was also held at the salon where the winners were announced. Latin singer Anais was among the winners in attendance. Hundreds of guests including celebrities attended. Over ten thousand dollars were raised!

June 2008 KTU recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. In an effort to help spread knowledge about Christo's annual Charity Event for Iris House, they posted the invite on their community page.

June 23rd, 2008 Christo will host the Second Annual Awaken the Beauty Within charity event on Monday, June 23rd from 4-8pm at Christo Fifth Avenue to benefit Iris House, an organization that provides assistance to women who are afflicted by AIDS or who are HIV positive. Among the many services provided by Iris House are nutritional counseling, individual counseling, support groups, mental health assessments, educational counseling, children's activities, as well as life skills and job training. click picture for 2008 event details. May13th-15th 2008 Christo consulted many celebrities during the NYC Upfronts Event. He made great suggestions about how to maintain healthy hair and choose the right combination of products according to your hair texture. All the celebrities were excited to receive the prescription of products as well as great tips from Christo.

May, 2008 Christo was invited to People en Espanol's annual 50 Most Beautiful Party on May 14th, 2008 at club Mansion where the biggest names in Latin Entertainment came out to celebrate. Click the picture bellow to view the Red Carpet Video.

May 9, 2008 Christo and the Curlisto^® artistic team will be designing the hair and make up for a very special, exciting and interesting event hosted by the House of Diehl on Friday, May 9, 2008. Style Wars: The Battle Royal attracts designers from all over the country. In this final showdown designers create on the spot avant-guard outfits on the stage with unconventional raw materials. One of Christo's greatest talents is to create dramatic and edgy hair designs, which is why he was chosen to be the artistic director of hair and makeup. June, 2008 People en Espanol June 2008 Issue Christo is a featured hair designer in People en Espanol's LOS 50 MAS BELLOS. He styled Angelica Rivera and Marlene Favela.
